Swift Run Dobermans is the kennel of Tammy Marshall-Weldon.  The Swift Run Gap is the location in the Blue Ridge Mountains where the settlers passed through to move westward.  Tammy grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.

After a year of researching Tammy got her first Doberman in 1982.  She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and the health issues of the breed are of vital importance to her.

The goal of the breeding program is to breed a Doberman that can impress any dog enthusiast.  Tammy aims to breed a dog that you can live with, that will protect, is social with people, and can compete at the top level of schutzhund.  That is the perfect dog for her.  Tammy enjoys competing in AKC Obedience, AKC Tracking, UDC Conformation, and Schutzhund at the National and International level. Health and temperament are essential, as well as correct conformation. Her personal dogs are house dogs and competition dogs. Her dogs must be good in public avenues and travel well.
